Motorway vignettes Latvia – information on tolls and e-vignettes.
The vignette is compulsory for vehicles carrying goods up to a total weight of 3001 kg and is required for driving on motorways and certain express roads. The lowest price category applies to vehicles with a gross weight from 3001 kg to 3500 kg. The other categories are for vehicles from 3.5 to 12 tonnes and vehicles over 12 tonnes. The price categories for vehicles above 3.5 tonnes (lvvignette.eu) are broken down by emission class: Euro IV and above, Euro III and Euro 0, I, II, for vehicles above 12 tonnes the number of axles may also influence the price. For a detailed description of the rules and exemptions from charging, see lvvignette.eu/about.
Fees are paid by electronic vignette, which can be purchased on the internet at lvvignette.eu, at the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (RTSD) cash desks and at petrol stations. The e-vignettes are available with a daily, weekly, monthly and annual validity. When purchased at points of sale (cash desks or petrol stations), the price of the vignette is subject to a handling fee, which may vary from one place to another.
