Tolls in Albania – information on tolls

Tolls are charged on the A1 Rruga e Kombit motorway, which runs west from the Kosovo border towards Tirana. Tolls are payable for all categories of vehicles, including motorcycles. There is currently only one toll gate on the 130 km motorway, west of the Drin River, near the Kalimash tunnel, 34 km from the Kosovo border. Payment can be made in cash, by credit card or through the Digitalpass system, with discounts of up to 40% for regular users.

Andorra

The total length of roads is 269 km – 198 km of paved roads and 71 km of unpaved roads. There are no motorways in Andorra. There are two main roads leading from Andorra la Vella: CG-1 to the Spanish border and CG-2 to the French border, via the Envalira tunnel.

There are no toll roads in Andorra, but the 2.9 km Envalira tunnel is toll roads.

The Envalira tunnel runs between the Pas de la Casa, near the French border, and the famous Grau Roig ski area. The tunnel is 2,879 metres long, its deepest point is 2,043 metres and its highest point is 2,054 metres. It is one of the highest tunnels in Europe. The Envalira tunnel has two lanes (one in each direction) and a maximum speed of between 40 and 70 km/h.

Belgium

In Belgium, motorways are free for cars, only the Liefkenshoek tunnel (liefkenshoektunnel.be), near Antwerp, is toll-free.

There are no tolls in Denmark, only when crossing the Storebæltsbroen (Great Øresund Bridge) (torebaelt.dk), Øresundsbro (Øresund Bridge) (oresundsbron.com) and Kronprinsesse Marys Bro bridges.

The Finnish road network is 78 162 km long. Motorways in Finland are free of charge.

Netherlands

The Dutch road network is 139 295 km long, with 2808 km of motorways. There are no tolls in the Netherlands. Only certain tunnels are toll roads.

The Westerschelde Tunnel (westerscheldetunnel.n) and the Kiltunnel (kiltunnel.nl) are toll tunnels.

Luxembourg

Luxembourg has 2899 km of road network and 152 km of motorways.

There are no tolls in Luxembourg, except for vehicles weighing more than 12 tonnes. Payment is possible via the Eurovignette electronic toll system.

Malta

Malta has a road network of 3096 km and is toll-free.

Monaco

The total length of Monaco’s roads is 77 km. Roads in Monaco are free to use.

Montenegro
