Tolls in Poland – information on toll collection, toll roads map

Motorways in Poland are tolled for motorcycles and vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, through toll systems operated by various operators.

Toll motorways for motorcycles and vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes:
  • A1 (Gdańsk – Toruń)
  • A2 (Świecko – Konin)
  • A4 (Katowice – Krakow) (links on map – www.tolls.eu)
  • The A2 motorway between Łódź and Konin and the A4 motorway between Sośnica and Wrocław (west of Katowice) are toll-free for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. The eToll motorways will be free of charge for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes from 1 July 2023. The toll motorways are indicated on the map below

On eToll motorways, the price category of the vehicle is determined by the maximum permissible weight of the vehicle combination, with tolls being payable not only on motorways but also on certain Class 1 roads for vehicle combinations exceeding 3.5 tonnes. For toll motorways outside the e-Toll system, information on the allocation of categories is available on the operator’s website.

Payment on motorways at tollgates
  • A1 (Gdansk Toruń)
  • A2 (Świecko – Konin)
  • A4 (Katowice – Krakow)
  • Autopay application is available for A1 and A4 (Katowice – Krakow)

Tolls can be paid at toll gates by cash, credit card, fuel card or on-board unit and mobile app payments are also accepted on motorways ((A1 AmberGo [a1.com.pl], A1 + A4 Katowice – Krakow Autopay [autopay.pl] and e-Toll network [etoll.gov.pl]). For regular users, an on-board unit is available for payment, for which a discounted toll is applied. Discounted tolls are currently available on the A4 motorway using A4Go (www.autostrada-a4.com.pl). Toll collection in Poland is provided by several companies and the on-board units are not compatible with each other.

There are no toll gates on the state toll motorways
  • A2 Konin – Stryków and A4 Wrocław – Sośnica
  • Tolls can be paid via eTicket, the e-Toll mobile application (etoll.gov.pl) or at points of sale.
  • To pay the toll on the A1 Gdańsk – Toruń motorway, the AmberGo application (a1.com.pl) can be used in addition to the toll gates.

The Autopay application (autopay.pl) can be used to pay on the A1 Gdańsk – Toruń and A4 Katowice – Krakow private systems. Autopay Flota (autopay.eu) can also be used to pay tolls within the public e-Toll system if set up with a 1 or 12 month contract.
