Tolls in Russia – toll collection, toll motorways
Tolls are payable on the M1 – Belarus, M3 – Ukraine, M4 – Don, M11 – St Petersburg, M12 – Vostok, A-105 – Moscow Domodedovo and A-113 Central Ring Road motorways. Tolls are collected at toll gates, which are not distributed along the entire length of the motorways. Maps of toll roads and toll gates are available at unitoll.ru and russianhighways.ru.
Motorways are also toll roads for motorcycles in the same category as cars.
For the purpose of determining the toll, vehicle categories are defined on the basis of the height of the vehicle and the number of axles. The lowest category, comprising cars and motorcycles, is limited to a maximum vehicle height of 2 metres and a maximum of two axles. An overview of the breakdown of the categories can be found in the price list (avtodor-tr.ru).
Tolls can be paid by cash, credit card, on-board unit, prepaid card at the toll gate of your choice or prepaid ticket for the central ring road. If using a CKAD without payment, the toll must be paid separately online.
Payment via the on-board unit is based on a pre-filled account, you can pass through the tollgate without stopping and you will be charged a reduced price when paying the toll. The on-board unit can be purchased at the points of sale.
on-board unit: | 2500 RUB |
Thanks to its interoperability, the on-board unit can be used to pay tolls at all toll gates in Russia.
